The Frog Pond is one of Boston Common's most popular attractions. Though it was probably a natural pond at some point, today's Frog Pond is artificial. Great fun any time of the year, in the winter the Frog Pond is frozen over for ice skating from November to mid-March, and it features skate rentals, a concessions stand, restrooms, and a warming area.

The Frog Pond Skating Rink opens for the season this year on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007.

Frog Pond Location

The Frog Pond is located in the northeast portion of Boston Common, near Beacon Street and the Massachusetts State House. The closest T station is Park Street (red and green lines). Pay parking is available under the park in the Boston Common garage (enter on Charles Street between the Common and Public Garden).
